On Sunday, Feb. 9, former Madera High School standout Erika Perez’s current college team, the Creighton Bluejays, won 4-3 in their NCAA Division I softball game against the Purdue Fort Wayne Mastodons.
The game took place at St. John Stadium. This was their third matchup against the Mastodons this season.
The Bluejays’ next game is scheduled for Friday, Feb. 14 at 10 a.m. at Bailey Park against Northern Kentucky Norse.

Mecklenburg County received $3.3 million from a Chicago-based political foundation after leaders agreed to “reduce the use of incarceration” for repeat criminals like DeCarlos Brown, Jr.
