MALIBU CITY: Safer at Home Order Extended

Stay at home

Malibu City issued the following announcement on Dec 30.

A Revised Temporary Targeted Safer at Home Health Officer Order for Control of COVID-19: Tier 1, Substantial Surge Updated Response (Order) was Issued December 27, 2020, and can be found here: http://publichealth.lacounty.gov/media/Coronavirus/docs/HOO/HOO_SaferatHome_SurgeResponse.pdf. The Order was revised to extend its duration for as long as the State Health Officer’s Regional Stay At Home Order remains in effect in the Southern California Region.

In addition, Protocols for Shopping Center Operators: Appendix E was updated on 12/27/2020 to clarify the requirements for both indoor and outdoor seating at shopping centers. A copy of the revised protocol with details on the changes can be found here: http://publichealth.lacounty.gov/media/Coronavirus/docs/protocols/Reopening_ShoppingCenters.pdf.

Targeted Stay at Home Orders issued by the State – and adopted by the L.A. County Health Officer – remain in effect as long as hospital ICU capacity remains below the 15% threshold established by the State. These orders prohibit gathering with non-household members, require everyone to stay at home as much as possible, reduce occupancy limits at businesses, and require masking and distancing whenever around others. Outdoor exercise is encouraged as long as you remain distanced and wear a face covering when around others. The Health Officer Orders also require that all non-essential business and activities cease between 10:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. A complete list of the current safety modifications can be found online. These orders are in place for your safety and the safety of others – to reduce the potential for virus transmission.
