City of Chowchilla recently issued the following announcement.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Chowchilla is accepting applications for potential candidates to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of a newly appointed Council Member.
Applicants must have been a resident and qualified elector of the City for at least 30 days prior to the date of appointment. The term of the appointment will be valid until the next general election to be held in 2022.
All interested persons must complete an application which will be available on the City’s website www.CityofChowchilla.org. You may also contact the City Clerk via phone (559) 665-8615 Extension 102, or via email JMcClendon@CityofChowchilla.org, to receive an application. We ask that you provide a resume with the application highlighting those areas related to this position.
All completed applications and resumes must be submitted to the City Clerk by 4:00 p.m. on January 20, 2021. Applications will not be accepted without a resume or after the deadline.
The applications received will be reviewed by members of the City Council at their January 26, 2021 meeting in open session. This date is also when the Council will make their appointment.
